Who We Are
Propel is a college ministry that exists for YOU. God is using Propel to meet social and spiritual needs in college students right here in Shawnee. With events, ministry opportunities, fun, and fellowship, Propel is here to provide a haven for the modern-day college student.
Brian Levings serves as College Minister. He is a recent graduate of OBU who loves God and loves students. Marty and Deborah O'Gwynn direct and teach our 9:30 am Propel ministry; while Robert and Tonia Kellogg, and Andy and Katie Landes direct our 11:00 am Propel ministry. Leading music and Bible Study during the 11:00 am hour are Taylor and Meisha Prince. Each of our college leaders are excited to be a part of IBC's Propel Collegiate Ministry, and are genuinely interested in serving YOU. Come meet the team; I know they'd love to meet you!
How Come?
Why Propel? Why now? Why here? Good question.
God is moving in Shawnee, and at Immanuel Baptist Church. We’ve just added a third worship service time on Sunday mornings: a much more contemporary worship service. There you’ll find an incredible worship band, a modern worship feel, and some awesome preaching from the WORD OF GOD.
There has never been a greater opportunity to reach out to the often forgotten college crowd! Propel is here to be your spiritual home away from home…not to mention, give you a break from the textbooks.
Where We Are
Propel is a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church. From OBU, head North (towards I-40) on Kickapoo until you come to the stoplight at 45th Street (CVS Pharmacy). Make a right and head East. Travel through the stoplight at Harrison and 45th St. Immanuel will be on the right-hand side of the road just over the top of the hill. The main entrace is located under the tower.
